Holidays in the Bag is Friday, November 26th
Avoid the crush of the malls by shopping Over-the-Rhine for unique, local gifts in a relaxed atmosphere.
OTR is holding its third Holidays in the Bag event on Friday, November 26th. More than 20 merchants in Over-the-Rhine will provide discounts.
It’s all pretty simple:
1. Buy a special holiday shopping bag at 1213 Vine Street or at Park+Vine on Main Street for $3.
2. Take the shopping bag around to any or all of the participating merchants where you will receive discounts on most merchandise.
3. Then celebrate your successful day of shopping with a stop at one of the restaurants or bars in the area.
4. Consider attending the lighting of Cincinnati’s Christmas tree on Fountain Square.
Proceeds from the sales of all the holiday bags (the $3 bucks x several hundred) benefit the School for Creative & Performing Arts, students and parents will be volunteering and supporting this event. In the evening, Over-the-Rhine’s streets will be lit with luminaries and holiday wreaths will be hung.
