Light Up OTR
The 2nd annual takes place Friday, December 16th! Join other volunteers celebrating our community by placing 1000 luminaries framing an 8-block radius from Central Parkway to Liberty. Volunteers can meet at The Famous Neon’s Unplugged at 7 p.m. on the 16th to assemble the luminaries and help with set-up.
At 10 p.m., head back to Neon’s Unplugged with $1 or a non-perishable canned good to benefit the Freestore Foodbank, and stay for the lighting of the 25-foot Christmas tree. Feel free to capture the moment at the Framester photo booth!
The Bright Ride
Got a bike? Join Arts Wave’s from Northside to Downtown/OTR and back! Use any kind of lights or reflective element you can find to light up yourself and your bike, and join the group at Hoffner Park in Northside at 7:00 p.m. If you want a shorter ride, you can meet at Fountain Square starting at 7:45 p.m. to join the center-city portion of the ride to The Famous Neon’s Unplugged.
