Final Friday Options for 1/27/2012
Park + Vine:
Mark Sullivan is an artist living and working in Cincinnati. This new exhibition of artwork is both the continuation and culmination of both twenty-years of Sullivan’s x-art and a lifetime of obsessive (compulsive) repetition. Always finding inspiration and joy in the work of other great artists like Milan Kundera (who said, “Happiness is the longing for repetition”) as well as Keith Haring, Agnes Martin, Joan Miró, the outsider artists, Sullivan also draws on his grade school busywork experiences–both the repetition of the activity and the outcomes of said activities.
