Where Downtown Meets Over the Rhine

KIDS FALL FEST AND FRIGHT NIGHTS COMING TO AN END.

Fall Fest at Washington Park, Over-The-Rhine, Cincinnati, Ohio Oct 2012.

Like all good things, Washington Park’s weekly Kids Fall Fest and Family Fright Nights must come to an end. This Saturday, we invite you to join us in the south end of the park from 2PM to 4PM, for one last afternoon of wacky family entertainment—complete with a few surprises. In addition to face painting fun, pumpkin decorating with the Emanuel Center and balloon animals, this week’s final Fall Fest will also feature an appearance from Kings Island’s Haunted Hearse, a Madcap Puppet show, and a special musical performance from Zak Morgan.

Heralded by many as a cross between the likes of Cat Sevens, Shel Silverstein and Dr. Suess, this Grammy nominated recording artist’s unique brand of songwriting manages to both inspire and tickle the funny bones of children and parents alike. You’ve heard his music and bought his albums, but now you and your family can see him live in Washington Park! Morgan will be performing some of his favorite songs from many of his critically acclaimed albums, including: “The Candy Machine”, “When Bullfrogs Croak”, and “Bloom”. And the best part about all of this is that it’s FREE! Want to know more about this Saturday’s entertainment lineup? Visit www.washingtonpark.org for more details.

After Kids Fall Fest, feel free to hang out downtown and indulge in all the Over-The-Rhine has to offer (great restaurants, fabulous shopping, and many fine art organizations are located in Over-The Rhine.) Just be sure to return to Washington Park for one last Family Fright Night. Join us this Saturday evening for a FREE showing of Tim Burton’s “The Corpse Bride” at 7PM, followed by “The Ring” at 8:45PM. This is your last chance to enjoy one final evening of free family fun in Washington Park, so be sure you don’t miss out!

Need something help keep you warm? Not to worry. In addition to our usual offerings, Washington Park’s concession stands will also be serving piping hot coffee, cocoa and spiked apple cider. For more information, including a full synopsis of this week’s feature films, visit www.washingtonpark.org.
